Hi, my name is
lisa!

And easymomrecipes is my little corner of the internet!

I launched easymomrecipes in 2016 while I was juggling two toddlers and a full‑time job as an elementary‑school teacher in Asheville, NC. I started by scribbling quick dinner ideas on napkins during lunch breaks, hoping to keep my kids fed without spending hours in the kitchen. What began as a private Google Doc quickly turned into a simple WordPress blog after a friend encouraged me to share the recipes publicly.

Fast forward to today, the site gets about 120,000 unique visitors each month and has a newsletter list of 15,000 hungry families. I’ve published more than 200 recipes, from one‑pot weeknight dinners to kid‑friendly bake‑offs, and in 2022 Family Food Magazine named easymomrecipes one of “The Top 10 Family Food Blogs to Follow.” I also added a printable meal‑plan calendar in 2021, which has been downloaded over 8,000 times.

When I’m not testing a new sauce or snapping a photo for the blog, I’m living in a modest bungalow on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains with my husband Mark and our two kids, Maya (5) and Leo (8). My favorite things are early‑morning hikes, Sunday pancake breakfasts where we let the kids add their own toppings, and hunting down vintage kitchen tools at local flea markets. I still keep the original handwritten recipe journal from my college days—its pages are a reminder that every great dish starts with a simple idea.

If you’re looking for honest, no‑fuss meals that fit a busy family life, you’ve come to the right place. I’m grateful for every comment, photo, and shared story that lands in my inbox—it feels like we’re all cooking around the same table, even when we’re miles apart.
